Street Survivors Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
Street Survivors is made by 7 Beers Deep Games. This page says what the game does with your information. It is short because the game collects very little.
The short version
- The Steam (desktop) and iPhone/iPad versions send nothing about you anywhere. Your progress stays on your device.
- The web version, played in a browser, has two optional online features: a public leaderboard and a cloud save. Only those two send anything, and this page lists exactly what.
- No analytics. No ads. No tracking. No third-party SDKs. We do not sell data.
- Street Survivors is not directed at children under 13.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
7 Beers Deep Games. Email support@7beersdeepgames.com or visit https://7beersdeepgames.com.
2. The desktop (Steam) and iPhone/iPad versions
No data leaves your device. There is no account, no leaderboard and no cloud save in these versions, and the game makes no network requests for them.
On your device the game keeps:
- Your save: gold, unlocks, achievements, stats and settings. On desktop it is a file in the game's app data folder. On iPhone/iPad it is in the app's local storage.
- A short error log (see section 6).
Uninstalling the game removes the app. The desktop save file is in the app data folder; you can delete it yourself. In the game, RESET GAME STATS wipes your progress.
3. The web version: leaderboard
When a run of at least 10 seconds ends, the web version sends the result to the game's own leaderboard server (the same website you are playing on). It sends:
- the player name you chose (2 to 12 letters, digits, spaces, and _ - . only; a few rude words are masked)
- the hero, stage and difficulty you played
- time survived, kills, level, gold earned, score, wanted stars at the end, Feds squads killed, and whether you survived the full 30 minutes or beat the secret boss
- a random run ID, a one-time run token the server hands out when a run starts (a signed timestamp plus a random number, used to check that a run is not faked), and the game's version
The game never asks for your real name, your email, or any account. Please do not use your real name as your player name.
The public board shows the name, hero, stage, difficulty, time, kills, level, score and date. For each difficulty and stage the server keeps the top 500 runs by score and the top 500 by time, and older or lower runs fall off as new ones arrive. We do not delete leaderboard rows on a schedule beyond that; to have your rows removed, contact us (section 9).
If the post fails, the game keeps the result in your browser and tries once more the next time you open the game, then drops it.
4. The web version: cloud save (optional)
Cloud save is off until you turn it on in Settings by choosing a name and a 4-digit PIN. If you do, the server stores:
- your name, kept only as a one-way hash (it is used to name your slot)
- your PIN, kept only as a salted hash
- a copy of your game save, up to 64 KB: gold, unlocks, achievements, stats, settings, and your leaderboard name if you set one
- the time it was created and the time it was last updated, and one previous copy of the save as a backup (each time you save, the older copy is kept as the backup)
Your browser remembers the name and PIN you entered so it can back up automatically. A cloud save has no expiry and we do not delete it on a schedule. It stays until you ask us to delete it (section 9). RESET GAME STATS in Settings replaces the cloud copy with your reset save, but the copy from before the reset stays on the server as the backup until your next save replaces it. To have everything removed, contact us. There is a limit of 5,000 cloud saves in total.
A 4-digit PIN is not strong. Do not reuse a PIN you use for anything else, and do not put anything private in your name or save.
5. Technical information
To protect the leaderboard and cloud save from abuse, the server uses your IP address in memory to limit how often a visitor can post scores, start runs or try PINs. It is not written into the score or save data. The website is served through Cloudflare, a company that delivers websites; it sees visitors' IP addresses to do that. Like any website, the web server also keeps standard access logs for the web version: your IP address, the time, the page requested, the response code, the referring page and your browser's user agent. These logs are rotated daily and kept for about 14 days (older ones are compressed), then deleted. The same logs include the leaderboard and cloud-save requests. Your cloud-save name and PIN are not put in the web address, so they are not in these logs. The logs are used only to keep the service running and secure.
The web version keeps its files, your save and your settings in your browser's local storage, and uses a service worker so it can load faster and work offline. This is not tracking and is not shared with anyone. The web version also asks its own website whether a newer version is out.
6. Error logs and bug reports
The game keeps a short log of its own errors on your device: the last 200 lines, each with a time, the game build, which screen you were on, and the error text. It starts each launch with one line noting the game version and build, your system (for example Windows or macOS), screen size, text size setting and whether you last used a keyboard or a controller. On desktop this is a file named game.log in the game's logs folder (it rotates at 1 MB and keeps 3 files). On the web and iPhone/iPad it is in local storage. Desktop crash dump files, if any, also stay on your computer.
None of this is sent to us automatically. If you choose REPORT A BUG in Settings, the game copies a report (version, system, settings and recent errors) to your clipboard and opens our support page. You decide whether to paste it into a message to us.
7. What we do not do
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no cookies for tracking.
- No third-party SDKs in the game. The fonts are included with the game.
- We do not sell or rent data, and we do not share it for advertising.
- Steam and Apple handle purchases and their own data under their own policies. The game itself sends them nothing.
8. Children
Street Survivors is a comedy for a mature audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us a name or a save, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your choices and contact
You can play any version without using the online features. To ask us to see or delete what the web version holds about a name (leaderboard rows or a cloud save), email 7 Beers Deep Games at support@7beersdeepgames.com (or use https://7beersdeepgames.com) and tell us the player name or cloud-save name. If you live somewhere with privacy rights, such as California or the European Union and United Kingdom, you may have the right to access and delete your data; the same contact applies.
10. Changes
If we change how the game handles data, we will update this page and its date. If the change adds new data collection, we will say so in the game or on the store page.
